CCH's Lulu a Lousiana Catahoula Leopard dog formally known as the Catahoula Cur are great dogs for hog hunting

Welcome!! We are a small kennel located in Northwest Florida that are a N.A.L.C. certified breeder and member of the American Catahoula Association. We participate in the American Catahoula Association. and National Association of Louisiana Catahoulas shows whenever possible and are proud of our dogs accomplishments.

House Catahoulas goal is to produce dogs with extreme intelligence that conform to the standard, as well as using for hog hunting, showing, protection, or just be a loyal companion.

The Catahoula Leopard Dog, formerly known as the Catahoula cur is truly an amazing dog. They can be used for search and rescue, herding cattle, hog hunting, deer hunting, raccoon hunting, or bear hunting, blood trailing wounded game, or just be a faithful companion. They are renowned for their boundless energy, their coats which can be many various colors, and for their striking glass eyes.

One of the traits that I like best about the Catahoula Leopard Dog is that while hunting they always come back to "check in" every so often, and you do not have to spend hours searching for your dogs when you are ready to go home.

Because the Catahoula are such a "high energy" dog I would not reccommend them for everyone. You must let them know that you are the leader of their pack and not them. They require daily exercise and basic obedience is also a very good idea. Please be sure that you are willing to meet their requirements before purchasing a Catahoula Leopard Dog
